One of my favourite subjects to photograph, flowers can be captured is so many different styles. A field full of brilliant red poppies demonstrate the flowers natural environment whilst a close-up of petals that make up a single flower, show the beauty and delicacy of the subject. With so many ways to photograph flowers the subject allows many different types of photographers, studio, still life or nature to capture them in all their glory.

Two of the images in this collection were taken on the Greek Island of Lesvos. This is a most spectacular location for flora photography due to the numerous varieties that live there.

Being a UK based photographer, I could not resist to show some, perhaps more exotic, plants from the Eden Project in Cornwall. Whilst this may not be the most natural of locations to photograph flowers, it is a fabulous place to visit and even better to photograph with plants and flowers that photographers will otherwise have to travel great distances to take.
